CHARTERED ARCHITECTS

Salisbury, Wiltshire

  • "Sometimes there is so much detail to do it is easy to forget people who make things happen. I want to thank you and put on record my appreciation for your professional and committed efforts to help us with the recent Science Refurbishment. You have been accommodating, Insightful and knowledgeable. It has been a pleasure to work with you."

Chris Dark, Head Teacher, Matravers School, Westbury, Wiltshire

  • "The finished product is really impressive and the collective view is that the transformation has been totally and superbly executed. Amazingly it has all been down within our rigid timelines and so much of the credit for that is due to your own superb efforts. Thank you once again - I could not have asked for better service or greater cooperation from our architect."

Colonel Peter Williams OBE, Royal School of Artillery, Larkhill

  • We have been extremely satisfied with the services provided by PSA for the design and build of our rear extension. We are very happy with the resulting space, which we have found very flexible, and now spend most of our time in the new building, We would definitely recommend Paul’s architectural services.

  • "Paul Stevens has worked with us on two different house renovation projects. He listens to client’s desires and interprets them in feasible and fresh designs. Paul respects the house’s character, age and materials as well offering unique design ideas. My husband and I enjoyed working with him and his associates. What could have been complicated and stressful was handled honestly and in good time."

    Mrs B Ambrose, Shaftesbury

  • We have a fairly standard 1950s three bedroom house and wished to extend the kitchen and dining room to provide a larger living area using available space at the back of the house. To provide more flexibility with family and friends staying, we also wished to convert some rooms to a shower room and utility room. Paul was very helpful in meeting us, discussing our needs and then providing, with Dan, a survey and accurate plans for various options for us to consider and then discuss with him. These included considerations of light, spacing of kitchen units, movement between rooms and the best materials to use.

  • it was necessary to fill in all the detail that was not planning relevant. Chloe Bickerstaff dealt with that and despite me going back to her on several occasions with additional details and some elements that I wanted changed, because I had changed my mind, she was unfailingly pleasant and responsive. The whole matter was dealt with efficiently and the cost was very reasonable. I actually enjoyed the experience.

    Mr G Sturgess, Romsey

  • "Throughout the life of this project your ability to cope with the considerable demands that we have placed upon you has been magnificent. You have been consistently positive and proactive and nothing has been too much trouble for you. It has been very enjoyable having you involved in the project and i have valued your opinion enormously."

Colonel Peter Williams OBE, Royal School of Artillery, Larkhill

  • ''Without your talent for taking (our ideas) on board, adapting and improving them with your own ideas - well, the transformation simply would not have happened. It is altogether a real delight, and one we did not anticipate. We had no idea that the final whole would do so comprehensively exceed the sum of the new parts. We both feel that we've gone to stay with friends in their rather special house.''

    Owners, Orchard House

  • Communication at all times was very good and Paul was always receptive to our ideas, at the same time providing his professional opinion. Once plans had been decided upon he took care of planning application, tenders to building contractors and building regulations.

  • I used Paul Stevens Architecture to draw up plans for a substantial porch to be added to our house with the additional complications that the house has been underpinned but the land on which the porch is to stand has, obviously, not been underpinned, and that the house is historic and in a conservation area. We got conservation area planning consent on the first attempt.
